CUSGAA is so pleased to announce it’s first official Geocache Adventure! This is a multicache, so in order to find the prize and a Travel Bug with a very fun mission you must first find “The Rock”.

Below is the Anatomy of the Geocache. Here you kind find tips and clues, however you will have to log in at geocaching.com to get the coordinates for the first stage of the Geocache. This of course will lead you to the ultimate prize!

WARNING: Helpers and Spoilers Below!

Stage #1: Find the ROCK!

You are looking for a Rock with a hidden compartment. Inside will be the coordinates to the final stage. Please take care in returning the Rock to the place that you found it. Below is a picture of what you will are looking for!

As you can see it sits in the crook of a tree! It sits about 4 feet off the ground. Keep in mind that nature sometimes likes to play little tricks on us! With the change of seasons it could easily be covered with leaves, or even snow! Keep an eye out. For those of you that need an extra bit of help here is a little movie to help you!

Stage #2: The Treasure

Now that you know where you are supposed to go, find yourself on your way. If you have to cross the street be careful! There is lots of adventure to be had, that of course depends on where you enter the forest! With a little creek bed to hop, you can cross it on a fallen log! Keep your eyes open for all the Wildlife! There are tons of deer everywhere!

Ok, now for some picture helpers. With so many fallen trees, nooks and crannies, it was hard to choose the spot that was just right! Well, with a little patience I found the spot that was perfect for this little Gem to hide!

 

I wanted to leave it open, however I didn’t think it was such a good idea. There was a place just 3 feet away that would have been amazing perfect! It was a better hide! However, I just could not get over the perfect fit and how the tree kind of frames this soon to be found treasure! I have to tell you, if someone were to walk by they can see with the leaning tree bark that this is an obvious attempt to cover up something good!

Now that you are here open her up, keep her dry! Fill out the log!
